The theme of this campaign was "My
Blood Saves Lives". There were altogether 105 blood donors. About 15% of
the 121 people
who registered on that day had pledged earlier that they
would come to donate their blood.
We were reluctant to stop the registration at 3.00
p.m. as there were still so many eager blood donors who wanted to register
then. As the hospital staff needed to bring the blood back to the hospital
and there were still blood donors who had registered waiting for their
turn, we had no choice but to apologetically decline the unregistered
blood donors.

The blood donors came from all ages,
races and walks of life. This campaign showed that there are many caring
and generous
people. Blood is the greatest gift as it can save
lives.
The organising committee which comprises of the Pemuda and
Wanita Gerakan Bukit Bendera would like to express their
gratitude and
appreciation to everyone who was involved in this Blood Donation
Campaign.
